INTER-UNIVERSITY CENTRE FOR ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHYSICS (IUCAA)

A visit to IUCAA at the University of Pune can be very rewarding, especially for those with a scientific temperament. In-house scientists guide visitors in the use of the telescope and facilitate stargazing, especially on days when a meteor shower or eclipse is predicted.

Famous toy-maker Arvind Gupta conducts regular workshops to encourage children to learn scientific principles through the medium of toys.

RAJIV GANDHI ZOOLOGICAL PARK

Also known as the Katraj Zoo, this 168-acre space houses a Zoo, Snake Park, and Animal Rescue Centre. The Park was started by famous herpetologist and animal lover Neelimkumar khaire, who holds a place in the Guinness Books of World Records for staying in an enclosure with poisonous snakes for 72 hours!

Closed on Wednesday.

BOATING PARK

PESHWE ENERGY PARK
