After the long dry spell that caused a severe water shortage, the district was faced with a flood-like situation due to the incessant rainfall since Saturday. As many as 974 families, including 90 in Khandala, were shifted to safer locations on Sunday following discharge of water from dams in Mula and Mutha river.
