Lord Ganesha is regarded as the patron deity of the city and holds an important place in the hearts of many. Ganesh temples in Pune are many; but one of the most beautiful Ganesh temples in the city stands in the Pooja Park near the famous Paud Road in Kothrud here.
There is a newly located housing board colony called Pooja Park on the left side of the Kothrud bus depot just ahead of Vanaj engineering company on Paud Road. The beautiful Ganesh temple I am talking about lies right in the middle of the PoojaPark. Very recently the Ganesh idol was installed in the sanctum and the temple was opened for the devotees.
