The Melting Princess...

Once upon a time there lived a king.

The king had a beautiful daughter, the princess!

But there was a problem

Everything the princess touched would melt. No matter what; metal,
wood, plastic- anything she touched would melt. Because of this, men
were afraid of her. Nobody would dare marry her. The king despaired.
What could he do to help his daughter. He consulted his wizards and
magicians. One wizard told the king, "If your daughter touches one
thing that does not melt in her hands, she will be cured."

The king was overjoyed. The next day, he held a

Bill Gates organized an enormous session to recruit a new Chairman for Microsoft Europe.
5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate is Arun Mhatre an Indian (Mumbai) guy.
Bill Gates thanked all the candidates for coming and asking those who do not know JAVA program to leave.
2000 people leave the room. Arun says to himself, 'I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to lose if I stay.
I'll give it a try'

Bill Gates asked the candidates who never had experience of managing more than 100 people to leave.

The train has started moving. It is packed with people of all ages, mostly with the working men and women and young college guys and gals. Near the window, was seated an old man with his 30-year old son. As the train moves by, the son is overwhelmed with joy as he was thrilled with the scenery outside.

"See dad, the scenery of green trees moving away is very beautiful"

This behaviour from a 30-year old son made the other people feel strange about him. Every one started murmuring something or other about this son.

What Baapu says On Appraisal......

"Agar koi tumhari salary na increase kare , tumhe promotion na de,
tum kaam karte raho....
sirf kaam hi nahi zada kaam karo......
promotion ki ummeed na karo.......
Dekhna, Uski aatma ek din jaroor jaagegi.
Aur vo tumhe salary hike aur promotion zaroor dega"
Aur agar fir bhi koi salary hike aur promotion nahi mile ,
to uske paas jana, use ek Guldasta dena.... aur Vinamrata se kehna.......

Careful with Colour

Holi, the festival of colours, is here again. Playing with colours on Holi is fun, but can turn out to be harmful if proper care is not taken.

Body and Mind - Best before test

With March fast approaching, the bugbear of Board exams for tenth and twelfth standard students is looming large. The lights are on till late in the night and days start early in the morning, TV is turned off, and meals are carelessly skipped. But is this the right way to go about one of the most feared and stress-creating examination ordeals in the country?

Tobacco: The serial killer

In India, tobacco kills at least 10 lakh people every year. All the same, over 250 million people use tobacco products like gutka, cigarettes and bidis and more than 5500 adolescents initiate tobacco use every day. These indicative figures have become a cause for grave concern amongst human welfare organizations across the world like WHO, Advocacy Forum for Tobacco Control, Healis Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health, Salaam Bombay, Hirdayshan, World Lung Foundation, and others who voice their apprehension over further delay and dilution of pictorial warnings in India.
